Fr. Chuck Tobin Pastor
Father Chuck Tobin, Pastor, was born in Maryville and ordained in Maryville at Mount Alverno May 25, 1968. He completed his Master's degree in theology at Conception Seminary and later did graduate work in ministry and theology at Catholic University in Washington, DC and at Catholic Theological Union in Chicago. Father Chuck spent 5 years in our missions in Bolivia and in Hispanic ministry at Guadalupe and Sacred Heart Parishes in Kansas City. He served as pastor at Warrensburg and at St. Joseph the Worker parish in Independence among other assignments. In 1996 he was assigned as pastor of St. Gregory Barbarigo Parish in Maryville where he has served until his new assignment at St. Sabina.

Parish Organizations

KNIGHTS OF COLUMBUSis a fraternal organizationof Catholic gentlemen. The Knights sponsor several Parish activities such as pancake breakfasts, Lenten Fish Fries, and donut Sundays. The proceeds from these activities go to support charitable organizations, local and national, and to defray the cost of some items needed by the Parish.


LADIES AUXILIARY is made up of wives and daughters of the Knights of Columbus. They help the Knights with many of the Parish activites they sponsor. They also sponsor many fund raisers of their own. Like the Knights, the proceeds go to many charitable activities and also help defray the costs of some items needed by the Parish.


COLUMBIAN SQUIRES for young men from ages 12 to 18 years sponsored by the Knights of Columbus.


COLUMBUS GIRLS for young ladies from ages 12 to 18 years sponsored by the Knights of Columbus.


OVER 55 AND STILL VERY MUCH ALIVE sponsors many activites throughout the year for older adults.


MOTHER'S DAY OUT PROGRAM provides an environment where children feel loved, respected and secure.


POLICY BOARD COMMITTEE will set long term goals and objectives, establish priorities, and set direction. The scope of the Policy Board's work shall include issues of mid-range to long-range time span.


OPERATIONAL COUNCIL COMMITTEE shall facilitate communication and coordination among the various parish ministries. The scope of the Operational Council's work shall include issues of short-range to mid-range time spans.


FINANCE COMMITTEE shall advise the Pastor on the administration of parish finances. It shall study the finances of the parish, help prepare the annual budget, and provide an annual report on the fiscal status of the parish.
